Lent Day 42

Good morning,

Today, our Scripture readings are 1 Corinthians 11:24 and Matthew 26:26-29.

Jesus loved his disciples. He shared one final meal with them to celebrate Passover. At this meal, Jesus explained that the breaking of the bread and the drinking of the cup were to represent the new covenant, which we continue as Communion today. 

The love that binds us in this new covenant is to be loved out in the coming days: from the table to the garden to the cross to the tomb and into new life. Jesus' love is for all who believe and walk in His steps.
