Lent Day 40

Good morning,

Today, our Scripture readings are John 19:28 and Psalm 63.

Jesus, our Savior, suffered a horrible death on a cross. He hung in the cross for about six hours, exposed to the elements and pain of crucifixion. To fulfill Scripture, Jesus drank of the wine vinegar, a commoners drink.

Jesus joined us in humanity and saw just how low humanity can go. Jesus came to offer forgiveness for our sins, to defeat death, and lead us to walk in His steps, which lead to springs of living water.

Where do you see living water flowing in your life? Where do you most need his loving water to flow in your life?

I see his living water flowing! It flows from many people I know and love! These folks have allowed themselves to be vessels for God to be filled to the brim and are overflowing with God's love! You can only become a vessel by waking in His steps and accepting the salvation Jesus offers.

Blessings,

Pastor Jesse
