Lent Day 38

Good morning,

Today, our Scripture readings are John 12:15 and Luke 10:1-12.

If you remember, earlier in Jesus' ministry, a crowd attempted to make Jesus king by force. Jesus said no and was able to slip away. However, Jesus is king; born in a stable, he walked the world in sandals, and went to the cross to die for our salvation.

Following Jesus is nothing to take lightly. Following Jesus means you live for him! When the world invites you to walk away from the steps of Jesus, you must say no and acknowledge Jesus as your king! The same applies for the thoughts of temptation, fear, and feelings of unworthiness: "No, Jesus is my King."

What else can you say no to because Jesus is your King?

Blessings,

Pastor Jesse
