Lent Day 7

Good Morning!

Our Scripture readings this morning are Philippians 2:8 and Isaiah 53.

We are to explore the humble nature of Jesus today. Humility calls us to remain grounded or down to earth. Jesus humbled himself by coming to earth in the form of a human and was humiliated by suffering and dying on the cross.

Jesus, an ever present gift of God's grace, is always with those who believe and have been justified. When life gets you down, Jesus is there to pick you back up, carry you for a while, and put you back on your feet when you're ready.

Write a prayer of praise and thanksgiving for your humble Savior. Here is mine:

Lord Jesus, I praise you for being the cornerstone of my life. I am thankful that you keep me grounded in my faith. Thank you for all of the blessings that have and continue to multiply throughout my life and this world. As you humbled yourself for me, I pray that you would bless me with the ability to humble myself. Praises and thanks cannot fully express what your humility means to me. Please make me a willing instrument of humility in this world. Amen.

Blessings,

Pastor Jesse
