Worship Services:

Offering plates are now being passed in the pews.  If you do not feel comfortable with this, you can still drop your offering at the church office during normal office hours (Monday – Thursday 10 AM – 3 PM).  Also returned to the pews are hymnals and Bibles as well as Connect/Prayer request cards and coffee service is also back.
July 4th – There will be one worship service at 10:00 AM.

June 23 – 24th the church office will be closed due to a staff retreat.

The preschool is looking to hire a few teacher’s aides for this next school year.  There may be options for T/TH, MWF or possibly all five days. It depends on what people are looking for.  Hours are 8:45am -1:30pm.  Please contact the ECS Director, Leshia Stewart at (317) 773-4464 or lstewart@emmanuelumc.org.

The sermon series beginning in June and for the summer is FAITH GOES TO THE MOVIES.

Pastor Jim has been doing movie series for many years, looking at theological and biblical themes from all types of movies.  This summer we will have a variety of movies from old, new, and in-between.  Come and join us as we see such stars as Spencer Tracy, Robert Duvall, a young Harrison Ford, Gene Wilder, Raoul Julia, and Frederick March with films that will entertain and challenge us.

We will be showing the movie in its entirety in the sanctuary the Wednesday before the sermon that Jim will be referencing at 6 PM.  The schedule is as follows:

  • June 23:  The Apostle (PG-13)
  • June 30:  Wesley:  A Heart Transformed (G)
  • July 7:  The Frisco Kid (PG)
  • July 14:  Romero (PG-13)
  • July 21:  An American Crime (R)
  • July 28:  Stand By Me (R)

Looking for another way to help in the community?

I help co-chair the Noblesville Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Festival. One of the biggest challenges we face each year is finding volunteers to help staff the festival at Forest Park from 6-10 p.m. The volunteers are primarily for the children’s area and teen zone and the dozen inflatables and bounce houses we offer – and most are located under shade or partly shaded.

Volunteer shifts are approximately 2 hours – 5:45-8 p.m. and 7:45-9:45 p.m. Hairbangers Ball will be performing live from 7:30-9:30 and the fireworks are launched from the golf course at 10 p.m.
The Fourth of July Committee provides each volunteer the following:
  • Free T-shirt
  • Free meal and drink during the event
  • Recognition for your group or organization

Out of safety, we do require background checks on our volunteers since they are interacting with youth. The website to register is https://www.cityofnoblesville.org/egov/apps/action/center.egov?view=form;page=1;id=739.
