If you are visiting for the first time, we encourage you to stop at our greeters and let them know you are new.

Two opportunities for worship are offered each Sunday morning. At both 8:45 AM and 11:05 AM, worship is a thoughtful, blended mix of hymnody, liturgy, and old songs reinterpreted for a new generation.

To get you started, here is what you need to know about Emmanuel:

What you will find at Emmanuel:

We are a group of diverse individuals from all walks of life and all age groups.  Some members have been here since the building began and others have only been attending a few weeks.  Both services are a blend of all generations worshiping God.

What if I don’t know the songs or am not familiar with the Bible?

It’s ok.  Some of us have been long-time learners of the Bible and we still find new and interesting things about the Bible each time we read it.  Don’t worry if you don’t have your own.  We have plenty of Bibles in the pews and you are welcome to take one if you don’t have your own. The songs we sing are new to some and familiar to others.  Our Praise and Worship director likes to add new songs all the time, so you can learn the songs right along with us.

What is the music like?

We have a YouTube channel so you can see previous worship services.  See for yourself what our services are like.

What about my kids?

We believe it is important to pursue lifelong learning and that is why we start our youngest children through adults on a growth plan that involves incremental learning and life application. If you would like to find out more about our children’s ministry before a Sunday service, you can email a member of the staff.  For children ages infant – 5th grade you can contact Ruth Ann Gillespie at ragillespie@emmanuelumc.org.  For youth in grades 6 through 12 you can contact Jon Zawodny at jon@emmanuelumc.org

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in.  You can come dressed up or in a t-shirt and shorts.  We care more about your heart than what you have on.

Can I bring my coffee, water bottle, or sports drink?

Absolutely.  We are not providing drinks at this time (during Covid-19) however, you can bring your own.

What should I expect on my first visit?

Right now (during Covid-19) you will find a welcome team that will direct you to a seat that is social distanced from others in the sanctuary. You can “Save Yourself a Seat” by clicking the worship service you will attend (from the front page of the website).
