During our sermon series entitled The Fall Classic, we will be looking at themes from favorite baseball movies and how they relate to our core value of Passionate Participation. Come and enjoy viewing these movies on the Wednesday before they are discussed in Sunday's message. The movies are: For the Love of the Game (10/27), Moneyball (11/3), The Sandlot (11/10), and Field of Dreams (11/17).
During the Christain Formation Hour, children will be introduced to the ancient practice of souling. They will be invited to wear costumes, request treats, and pray for those they meet. Contact Annette Brown for more information.
Come and donate at the Emmanuel UMC blood drive, and help honor and remember Premature Baby Awareness Month. Click here to register.
Coming soon - Harvey Harrington of Dream Chasers will bring a new basketball program to Emmanuel UMC. To kick off this partnership, please join us for a special event featuring bounce houses, games, food trucks, and more! Open to the public, right here in Emmanuel's parking lot and gym. On the first Sunday in November, we will celebrate those loved ones who have passed in the previous year by lighting a candle in their honor. If you have someone you would like to recognize, please contact the church office at (317) 773-4406. They do not need to have attended Emmanuel, as all are welcome to be celebrated by us that day.
Join us as we participate in our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to stock the Come to Me Food Pantry. Grocery bags with attached lists of suggested items will be available beginning Sunday, October 31st. Food items will be collected through November 21st, and then distributed to feed the hungry right here in Hamilton County.
On Sunday, October 24th, the Mission Team at Emmanuel will have shoe boxes available in the narthex for you to fill with special gift items for children around the world. Return filled shoe boxes by Sunday, November 14th. Thank you for helping make the holiday special for children while bringing them the good news of God's love in Jesus Christ.
