On Sunday, during both worship hours, kids age 4 years – 2nd grade will leave the sanctuary, after they have been excused, to go to the Kidz Chapel for a lesson and activities that will reinforce Pastor Jim’s sermon. Any questions, please email Ruth Ann Gillespie, Children’s Ministry Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The kids in Children’s Ministry Christian Formation hour at 9:55 will be learning that Jesus showed His love for us at Easter! Just like kids get excited about seeking out hidden eggs on Easter morning, we will be using Easter eggs to learn about what Jesus did at Easter to seek us out and show us His love. Our memory verse will be: God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.” John 3:16
For children age 0 – 3 years, the Nursery is open during all services and the volunteers are provided with a lesson and craft/activity for the children that reinforce God’s love for each one of us.
Here at Emmanuel, we know there is a lot going on in the life of your family: practices, games, rehearsals, performances, tests, projects, family time, jobs, volunteer work, dinners, and so much more. We know that it can be hard for you and your family to find time for faith, but Emmanuel Youth Ministry is here to walk along your student, 6th-12th grade, as they start to discover, grow, and take responsibility for their faith. Our goal is to provide a safe space for students to ask questions, make connections, and to be themselves.
We have Youth Group every Wednesday at 6:36-8pm. We spend some time playing games, discussing faith and scripture, and if you are willing to, have some fun. We meet in Fellowship Hall or outside if it’s nice.
Christian Formation Hour
Between our worship services on Sunday, our church spends an hour in groups to talk and learn on a more relational level. From 9:50-10:50, 6th through 12th-grade students will be in the Family Life Center where we will be having some breakfast, playing a game or two, and having some time to talk about the questions that are on the student’s minds.
June 5th, 8th, 10th, and 15-17th
Come and help teach, build crafts, run games, or whatever else you are passionate about as we run a science camp at Emmanuel. We need students to help lead and assist at Kidventure. Click Here to Volunteer.
During the three days that we are at Emmanuel for Kidventure, students will have an opportunity to stay at the church and engage in a variety of activities. We are currently working on the details and will get them to you soon.
The United Methodist Church has several camp experiences that they offer during the summer! Feel free to check out their information HERE or I can give you a brochure. If your student is interested in going to camp, please let me know. I would love to help coordinate between families to see if there is a week that works best for our families.
If you have any questions or are seeking further information about anything you see for the Emmanuel Youth Ministry, please contact Jon Zawondy, Director of Youth and Young Adults, at email@example.com
